Well, it's almost 4 am and I have just returned home from that party at Brittany's house. I'm kind of tired and really ought to be going to sleep since I have to drive down to
San Diego later today for the wedding. I'm wondering if I ought to get dressed before I leave or if I should get ready once I'm down there. It's a pretty fancy wedding, I think. Kimberly told me that it was black-tie optional. Since I don't own a tuxedo, I'm just going to be wearing a suit. I hope I'm not under or overdressed, but Kim told me that it would probably be perfect.
The party last night was fun, of course. Even the part where Danielle almost choked to death on a piece of focaccia was pretty fun, in retrospect. Funny thing...soon after I arrived, Brittany questioned me about this weblog. I had noticed on several occasions that people had gotten to this site by searching for Brittany Lichtig. It's funny...when I first started this site, it didn't occur to me that it would ever show up on
google or anything like that. But, eventually, I began to notice on my
sitemeter that people were coming across my website by searching for people whom I had mentioned herein. Mostly, it was all pretty harmless, but there were occasionally people about whom I had said a disparaging remark or two showing up on that list. There was also the embarassing incident of a girl from my
high school most likely stumbling across it by searching for herself. At least, I assume that is what happened. Basically, all I did was reveal that I had had a crush on her in high school...but I also mentioned that somebody else had been more attractive than she was. Anyway, I took her last name off in hopes that that would quell any further humiliation when I see her at the ten year reunion this summer.
Well, now it is after 4:00. I imagine that, right about now,
Erika is sitting around the
hospital staring at the clock hoping that the rest of the night will pass quickly and without any old people pooping their diapers. Honestly...being a geriatric nurse is one job I could not do. I don't know how she manages.
So, I am going to go to sleep now and hope that I can wake up in time to make it down to San Diego. I still have to figure out exactly where this wedding is.
