We'll Always Have LondonYesterday, I experienced that rare phenomenon known as the mutual breakup. I'm pretty sure it's my first one ever. Kelsey and I decided that, perhaps, this is just not the right time for us to be trying to pursue a relationship. The last five months have been pretty chaotic for both of us and, each time we have thought that things were about to fall into place, something else has come up. It was a difficult decision for us to make but, in the end, I think we both knew that it was the right thing to do.
I think this is also the first time that I have walked away from a relationship where neither of us has anything bad to say about the other. We have also agreed to leave the door open and stay in touch to see where things go.
She told me yesterday that there are three things she wants me to take away from this.
First, that I now have a different, more confident outlook on relationships and have learned to be more open in my communication.
Second, that I would continue to work on rebuilding my relationships with my parents and other family members... something in which she has helped me immensely.
Third, that I would always remember that there are different shades of pink.
I love you, Kelsey. You're amazing.
Thanks for everything.
